Colin Mahoney founded MCG in 2009 and has spent more than two decades working where public policy, communications and markets meet. He has held policy roles with President Joe Biden, worked for Congressman John Tierney and Massachusetts Senate President Thomas Birmingham, and ran the U.S. office of an international PR firm before starting MCG. His energy work goes back to helping Goldwind, China's largest wind turbine maker, enter Western markets, and running government relations for FloDesign Wind Turbines as it won state incentives in Massachusetts. He has served on the advisory board of the Cleantech Open and the executive board of the MIT Enterprise Forum's clean energy competition, and holds a BA in political science from the University of Massachusetts.
